would the heartsblood river and other bodies of water have the same feeling of unhealthiness and decay as the earth does? do the underwater flora and fauna seem ill or less plentiful somehow?

also: for someone who can talk to fish and sea creatures, is there anything that can be learned from them? whether anything Important or just ridiculous fish gossip or "look! it's a human that talks!" or...whatever....bring on the finding nemo jokes tbh
