To get airborne Julien doesn't really need a running start either. There's just a flurry of wings and a big white bird arcing up, startling a variety of normal birds into the air around him. He's very streamlined, legs tucked away and crest flattened, cutting through the air with the quick ease of a salmon in a stream.
