"I can't say I've had terribly much experience with either option," Jonathan remarked, although it was a blatant lie. An easy enough one to maintain considering how quickly he healed and his profession, but the less questions Raylan had for him about his life the better.

Particularly as the blood had his nose flaring as he scented it, and he frowned and focused on the wound itself in an effort to hide how it got to him.

"We should put lunch on hold to get this looked at for you," Jonathan insisted. "I'd prefer making certain it's cleaned and bandaged properly before anything else at least."

And frankly, he was counting it as something of a blessing now. He'd had a hard enough time wondering how he was going to manage lunch without eating anything and not raising any suspicions.
