Nah, you can tell it's already a five-alarm tire fire here. But apocalypses and near-apocalypses come in many forms. You'd be surprised how often you can reverse the polarity on something really ugly after it already seems too late.
It'll never be what it was and it might take a while to find a way for this place to survive. And will probably be soul-crushingly hard. And the people here will need to be willing to rebuild for a very long time.
But there's still a chance. A teeny tiny chance, but a chance.
