Sara hadn't really been planning on looking up the human couple - and at some point, she knows she's going to need to stop thinking of landens and Blood as humans and metas, because if she doesn't she's going to slip up and use those terms out loud - less out of a lack of sympathy, and more because she's never actually fixed a roof before, and adding magic to the mix definitely isn't going to make that go any more smoothly.

But she's pretty sure the giant dragon she'd been paired with for the day wouldn't have had a chance to fix a roof before either, and he still seems willing to give it a shot. Also, he's a giant dragon who's offering her a lift. If she refuses this opportunity, her six-year-old self will never forgive her.

"Now, how can I pass up an offer like that?" she replies, flashing him a quick, lopsided grin.
