Welcome to A Gentle Night! We're excited to have you here and can't wait to kick off our next event with an OOC plotting post on Tuesday the 19th. New characters will have officially arrived as of the event post.

This month, you may receive influence for Vigilanden Justice, Warm Front, and Poisoned Gnature. Remember, this is only applicable to canon TDM threads. Influence is contingent on how your character interacted with the prompt. Go to the Influence Page and follow the example if you wish to submit a thread for influence or reputation.

Character(s): Lucas Baker
Character Summary: NEET eldest child of a good ol’ quiet Louisiana bayou family turned hobbyist Jigsaw and part time mad scientist and black market dabbler, Lucas has a strong mechanical brilliance; a playful nature; infamous-Roman-emperor-level nasty, self-indulgent, and egomaniacal streaks each a couple miles wide; and, as the TFLN goes, all the grace of a fucking hippo and the emotional maturity of a five-year-old. His Birthright Jewel is an Opal!
Short-term plans: Honestly, he’s primarily just going to be getting a lay of the land until something more specific comes up - getting a feel for what’s at his disposal (especially technologically, knowing him) toward doing his own thing and for how to reap the benefits of his position as... being in Draega.
Long-term goals: Ohh, I’m definitely hoping to get him to a point of making an Offering eventually - Lucas is crafty and sure likes to win big, but he’s also a combination of scatterbrained, prideful, reactionary, and mostly just one to screw around; I might be try going for the angle of seeing him become more ambitious, in a “Game of Thrones-y” way!

Can I just say that I was thrilled to see Lucas on the TDM and even more thrilled that you brought him in. It's gonna be great, this is gonna be fabulous.

Character Summary: Victor of the 74th Hunger Games, Reluctant Revolutionary, Archer & Bad With People. Katniss wears Summer Sky.
Short-term plans: HAHAHAH. Trying not to get her head lopped off to start. Katniss is not really the most subtle of people and she's stubborn & hates authority so she's going to have a grand time. I suspect she'll side more landen than Blood, so I see her trying to get in with the guilds.
Long-term goals: Uprising. Honestly, with Katniss, I want her to learn some control. She's impulsive and she's had canon characters ground her thus far. She doesn't have that advantage in Draega so she's going to have to go it alone for the first time a long time.
TDM threads: Katniss only had one, with Tyrion, so if Tyrion apps, sure!

Player Handle: Aran
Character(s): Guts
Character Summary: Cynical human disaster with a tender heart deep down inside. His soul has been cursed by demons, all his friends are dead, and the only thing keeping him standing is his hatred for the guy that destroyed everything he loves. He copes with his shitshow of a life by violently swinging his sword at things and rejecting people’s love and concern.

Short-term plans: Guts will be arriving with all the wounds from his latest demon hunt. If you want to deal with the worst patient ever, he will be that for the first few days.

He is also fresh off his two-year revenge quest and has all his equipment pretty beat up and covered in demon juices. He will be looking to get his sword reforged, some new plate mail and a touching up on his artificial arm. Any other weapon-focused upgrades/maintenance will be of interest as well.

Long-term goals: Getting this grouchy man some friends. Guts is kind of at his lowest point and I’d like for him to do some healing and growing in-game for his Offering. Coming in, he will find it hard to learn any magic even with his birthright jewel because it’s Guts and he’s not allowed to have nice things.

He won’t have any particular allegiance to the landen or the blood, and will be pretty shit at politics. Expect him to piss somebody off at some point. Eventually, he will probably focus more on exploring the territories outside Draega and the supernatural.

Character Summary: In the wake of dropping Steve Rogers, I bring you instead a brainwashed super soldier assassin with a metal arm and no concrete memories. Wears the red.
Short-term plans: Exploration for sure, and figuring out the hows and whys of this society. He'll be firmly of the belief that he's only here for his usefulness as an assassin — hence why his jewel is so strong — and having to work through what that means to him.
Long-term goals: Eventually working through the returning of his memories and deciding who he wants to be as a person: the man he barely remembers or the Asset that HYDRA made him into. Making the Offering is a super long term goal of mine like months down the road.
TDM threads: Absolutely! I am a slow tagger (and always will be) so I will hit them back as I can.

i know very little about katniss, admittedly, but i DO know that the girl is a) tough as nails and b) knows how to SURVIVE out there in the wilderness. lalli's a scout from post-apocalyptic finland, so he's used to running around the woods/hunting/foraging, etc... maybe they can find some common ground? survival buddies!! 👀 and maybe she can even teach him to shoot a bow one of these days

yes excellent! i've threaded with my other character (sansa) with emil so i would totally dig threading with lalli with either katniss or sansa.

it sounds like they'd get along - katniss knows a ton about plants and spends a lot of time in the woods in general.
