Welcome to A Gentle Night! We're excited to have you here and can't wait to kick off our next event with an OOC plotting post on Tuesday the 19th. New characters will have officially arrived as of the event post.

Take this time to say hello and introduce yourselves to each other. Feel free to use the form below. Decide whether or not you want to keep your TDM threads canon with other characters who were accepted.

This month, you may receive influence for Hot Under the Collard Greens and Revenge, Served Stinky. For Terrible Two(hundred)s, you may earn reputation with either Loren or Grejor, depending on how you solved the problem. Remember, this is only applicable to canon TDM threads. Influence is contingent on how your character interacted with the prompt. Go to the Influence Page and follow the example if you wish to submit a thread for influence or reputation.

Character(s): Alex Fierro
Character Summary: Alex is a genderqueer child of Loki who just got back from putting her mother/father back in chains. She shifts gender pronouns as easily as she shifts shape, and is more than willing to take your head off with her magical garrote if you can't accept him for who he is.
Short-term plans: Figure out what's really going on - he's sure that what he's been told is at best half the story, so he'll be talking to as many people as possible to make his own decision
Long-term goals: She'll probably want to make her Offering at some point, if only because the Purple Dusk puts her slightly below her normal power level. Barring something really changing her mind, she's likely to be into supporting the landens overall, but I'm looking forward to seeing how that works out.

Anything else: I'm sure there's something I should say, but I am trying to write this before I have to run out to the theatre.

Character(s): Lalli Hotakainen
Character Summary: Lalli is a twenty-year-old night scout/mage from post-apocalyptic Finland with zero (0) people skills. Catch him stealing food right off your plate/hissing at cats because they hate him/pissing off the locals, because seriously, what are social norms?? He sure doesn't know. His hobbies include sleeping in the weirdest places, scouting around the most dangerous environments for hours on end, eating anything with SUGAR (direct him to cinnamon rolls ASAP, please), awkwardly staring at people... he's great. He has an OPAL!
Short-term plans: Almost everything in Draega is new and wild to Lalli, so he's going to need some time to, like, come to terms his new "home." He's going to spend some time exploring the city, figuring out what this Craft nonsense is all about, aaaaaand avoiding people if he can help it, but please... bother him and/or fuss at him... :') I'm ready to make stuff HAPPEN!!
Long-term goals: Hoo, boy! Here we go...
-This is lame tbh, but I want him to make FRIENDS!! He's twenty and he just recently made his very first friend, so blease... help him... and drag his quiet self into things...
-Politics? What? He's not a socially savvy person, so eventually he's going to tell the wrong person the wrong thing... and lose some serious influence, because he's dumb. I would loooove for someone/some people to, like, teach him how to properly interact with other people? To fuss at him about manners???
-He'll definitely go for the Offering one day, but I'm not quite sure how that will go down. Stay tuned, folks...

Character(s): Emil Västerström
Character Summary: Insecure, mouthy 20yo who tries his best (occasionally) but is critically lacking in natural talent. Joined the army so he could start fires for a living in a post-apocalyptic Scandinavia. Great hair. Really is a sweetheart, but is also an idiot with no brain-to-mouth filter at first blush. Purple Dusk, very aesthetic.
Short-term plans: Settle in, learn some Craft stuff, make some connections who will patiently endure his tendency to complain. He's only recently come around to the idea that Magic is Real so he's got some hangups about it, please advise.
Long-term goals: Set fires for a living, take 2?? Who can say. He is... gullible and desperate to be liked, so the long term plans are really to find a niche he's not terrible at and stick with it.

Character(s): Sansa Stark
Character Summary: Porcelain underlaid with steel. Sansa has matured from naive girl to savvy political woman under the tutelage of slyness and cruelty. Courtesy is her armor and words are her weapon.
Short-term plans: I would love for Sansa to get involved with the disputes between Blood and landen, as she has some experience ruling and settling disputes at Winterfell. I'd also like her to work toward making couture wear, as she is clever with a needle and needs some means of supporting herself.
Long-term goals: Sansa has serious issues with intimacy and trust, so I would like her to work toward resolving those (to some extent!) before making her Offering. I want her to learn more about Blood politics and if not get involved directly, make suggestions to the right players on how to keep the landens happy.
TDM threads: I would love to keep any and all of my TDM threads as canon!

Character Summary: Not a thief, but sent to reform school for being one, Piper recently discovered that being half Cherokee was not the only reason she's a 'half-blood.' (She hates that word.) Vegetarian, perceptive, fiercely loyal to her friends and ruthless to her enemies, Piper is determined to show that there is more to being a daughter of Aphrodite than being petty, flighty, and stirring up heartbreak. After all, love is the most powerful motivator in the world. Opal.
Short-term plans: Piper would like to get to know everyone and figure out what's going on. She'd also like to become more familiar with the entire system and the why of the system.
Long-term goals: Piper's going to be really interested in dealing with the halfblood prejudice and trying to move toward a more equal system. She's got a very personal investment in that sort of thing. She'll also be really interested in learning all that she can about the Craft to make the best use of her new abilities, and in learning more about the Offering.
TDM threads: I'd be happy to keep them canon, just lmk.
