Welcome to A Gentle Night! We're excited to have you here and can't wait to kick off our next event with an OOC plotting post on Tuesday the 19th. New characters will have officially arrived as of the event post.

This month, you may receive influence for Hot Under the Collard Greens and Revenge, Served Stinky. For Terrible Two(hundred)s, you may earn reputation with either Loren or Grejor, depending on how you solved the problem. Remember, this is only applicable to canon TDM threads. Influence is contingent on how your character interacted with the prompt. Go to the Influence Page and follow the example if you wish to submit a thread for influence or reputation.

Character Summary: Not a thief, but sent to reform school for being one, Piper recently discovered that being half Cherokee was not the only reason she's a 'half-blood.' (She hates that word.) Vegetarian, perceptive, fiercely loyal to her friends and ruthless to her enemies, Piper is determined to show that there is more to being a daughter of Aphrodite than being petty, flighty, and stirring up heartbreak. After all, love is the most powerful motivator in the world. Opal.
Short-term plans: Piper would like to get to know everyone and figure out what's going on. She'd also like to become more familiar with the entire system and the why of the system.
Long-term goals: Piper's going to be really interested in dealing with the halfblood prejudice and trying to move toward a more equal system. She's got a very personal investment in that sort of thing. She'll also be really interested in learning all that she can about the Craft to make the best use of her new abilities, and in learning more about the Offering.
TDM threads: I'd be happy to keep them canon, just lmk.

They are so good!

Piper was one of those characters I didn't think I'd like at first, but she ended up as one of my favorites! Especially in The Burning Maze

I've heard that they're really good! I just need a block of space to devour them in. Norse mythology is a ton of fun. I've not read the next series yet either, though I have been hit with some spoilers. I'm glad Piper grew on you - I really enjoy her (obviously).

It'll be really interesting to have the different mythologies meet up-- though I bet unless they know there's a connection, they're probably gonna end up thinking they're from different Earths or something.

Well, Magnus is Annabeth's cousin and they swap stories at the end of the first book, and I assume that at some point he fills Alex in, so Alex at least knows that the Greek/Roman pantheons exist.

I've done most of the Riordan-verse in audiobook, but I'll admit the Magnus Chase ones were weird because there was a different reader for each of the three books >.

I've not read the books after Blood of Olympus, so I'm taking her from the end of that series... which means she thinks he's probably dead dead, after hearing it from Nico and Hazel. So she is going to be SO GLAD to see him, she is going to glomp him, punch his shoulder, and hug him, probably in that order. NO DYING.

oh man, this is going to be jason 2.0 isn't it, he's not sure his heart can take more of his friends genuinely thinking he was dead for good... it'll be heartbreaking but he's going to be so, so happy she's here, THEIR TRIO IS COMPLETE AGAIN
