event 03 plotting

Another month comes and goes.
This month, Strangers arrive peacefully and are expected when they arrive. Alas, the Queen's Residence is still in chaos, and there's much afoot. The Strangers have arrived just in time for a six day festival that coincides with the spring equinox and the beginning of the planting season around Draega.
You can read the full event here. The post is currently locked for responses and will open at 8PM EST on the 21st. Take this time to talk to each other about what you're interested in doing and accomplishing in this event.
Questions should be asked here. For this event, Strangers have the chance to run into all major NPCs except for Queen Fayura. As such, please use the top-levels below to hash out plans with the NPCs. You don't need to do this, however! NPCs may crash your threads just because. As always, you may drive the cityfolk as you please.
Some additional information…
► The Guilds have a significantly stronger presence in the city than they have had in previous months. The landens are far more raucous and belligerent with the Blood. Should you wish for a little more conflict, you are welcome to work confrontations between landen and Blood into your threads. Bear in mind, the landens will be the instigators here.
► The Blood and the Ebon Council's presence has been weakened. The Blood are quieter and wary, avoiding confrontation as much as they can. Landens are far more obvious in their use of Muters and their carrying of Breakers.
► While Strangers won't be able to interact with Fayura during this event, she is out and about in the city. Strangers will find her helping decorate and actively participating in the celebrations during the first three days.

After this event…
► New players can assume that characters know all the information given in the info pages. Whether you handwave a conversation with random NPCs or assume that Loren answered your characters' questions, as of the end of the event all PCs have been informed of the landen Guilds, the Ebon Council, and the state of the world.
► Characters may move out of the Queen's Residence and establish their homes elsewhere. Many buildings in the city are empty and in need of repairs, but no one will stop Strangers from moving in.
► Any one who remains at the Queen's Residence will receive a modest stipend, enough to cover food and drink. Loren will make clear that Strangers who do not live at the residence will not be afforded this money but also that Strangers who do stay are considered part of the Queen's court in as much as actions they take will reflect back on the court.
► Allairavar reminds everyone who chooses to stay at the residence that if you live with the court, you practice with the court. He expects all the Strangers who stay to be on the practice fields with everyone else at dawn. To those who are reticent, he explains that no one needs to learn how to fight only how to defend long enough for help (he seems to imply himself) to arrive.

Mary Crawley | Downton Abbey
- She'll be excited about the festival, because finally something here that's not a trash fire.
-She'll be less excited about the planting but will be experimenting with using craft to make it much easier going for her.
- I want to have her move out this month, but she might need a roommate and to find a job. If anyone else wants to move out and wants a roommate let me know. Prooobably females for this.
- I want to try to have her interact with an NPC this month, but I'm not sure yet which one or what about.
Hit me with things!

-first of all, you WILL catch lalli at the bakers' booths, and you WILL see him spending all—yes, all—of his money on SWEETS. if anyone else out there has a sweet tooth like this boy... maybe they can both eat til they pop? convince him to trade something he has for something someone else has?? or fight over the last cookie, because he'll throw down...
-he's going to think all of the rides are possessed and will either refuse to get on them OR make himself look like an absolute buffoon. see: the time he encountered moving walkways for the first time. will someone out there help him get over this fear??
-he won't care about competing/winning anything, but he'll probably be pretty darn good at some of the carnival games? let's play some of those.
-lalli will, of course, help plant stuff... maybe someone more experienced with this stuff could help him out? he'll be pretty interested in how the queen's magic affected the earth itself, seeing as how the magic he's used to deals with nature-y things, so... he'll be pokin' around.
-other than the event: he's still running around the city, familiarizing himself with every nook and cranny, AND he's still going to morning lessons, so. want to start some new cr/build on some old cr? hit me up here or over at

katniss everdeen | the hunger games
- Not want to help with the party planning but will get roped into it grudgingly. If someone is cheery and more into decorating than she is, fantastic, because that will both a) grate her nerves and b) take the pressure off her to be creative.
- She's also going to be a little wary about the festival but she'll be about the carnival games. Katniss has a hell of an arm and good aim, so she can win some prizes for the little ones? She also loves baked goods, so she'll indulge and scowl less.
- She'll think the Queen's blood ritual is creepy but she's happy to do work in the fields. She's done that kind of hard work before and she'll do it again. She likes growing things.

Sansa Stark | Game of Thrones
- Sansa will definitely help with the party planning. She's quite excellent at this, actually, and can help organize (
conscript) more reluctant parties into helping her with it in case your character needs a hook to get involved.- Sansa is delighted about the idea of a festival! She's a bit wary since the Blood-landen tensions are up and so she'll be bringing Bucky Barnes along as an escort (thanks
- Sansa will go to the Queen's ceremony and help in the fields, though likely not with the planting proper. She'll be bringing water to people, making sure no one is injured, fetching things.
If there's anything else, or you want CR with her and none of the event things are tickling your fancy, you can PM me or hit me at sheikah#5408 on discord.

takame kesi / ffxiv
-Takame will absolutely be roped into party planning cause all it takes is someone telling him to do something and he will. That includes more than one thing at a time, please overwork him. Or hang more decorations on his horns. He's a walking supply rack.
-HE KNOWS SPRING FESTIVALS but he doesn't know how to have fun, he won't have a clue what to do on his own. He'll be wall-flowering for the most part for the festival unless someone forces him to have fun. He's also going to be slightly on edge expecting things to go down hill, but he can be broken out of it.
-He isn't a farmer, but god will he try his best. He doesn't have delicate hands but he can do manual labor. He will try to farm with hope that it'll actually work out but it might gain mixed results. Give him a gold star.
If you wanna hash out something specific feel free to add me on plurk @ bonpuns! A bit of a side note though, I'll probably be pretty slow due to some circumstances. But I'd still love to plan.

Guts | Berserk
- He will do everything in his power to avoid being social and festive. If he's near the festival it'll be for some kind of business (or somehow dragged there). Otherwise, he will be feverishly doing sword drills and weapons training in the practice fields, or in some location where he won't be bothered. He's not totally recovered yet since arrival, but when's that stopped him before!
- Farm boy Guts returns to diligently plant trees. This part is pretty alright for him.
If you have any CR ideas feel free to DM or hit me up at

Lucas Baker | Resident Evil
• He is going to actively avoid helping set up for the festival. Come on, he's a guest here! Why a guest gotta help decorate? He could potentially get roped in by someone getting a little... "playful" with their duties (e.x. "putting their own spin on things" while the staff aren't looking; Lucas is always here for setting up pranks, surprises, and "you'll shit bricks"-style Easter eggs in a display), but failing that, he's going to likely stay divvied between being a bratty ass or simply blowing off housekeeping and wandering the city until things quiet down.
• As for the festival itself, on the other hand, whoa, he loves a bit of festivity and ceremony, and it's been a very long time since he's been to anything like this! He's going to be running around like a fusion dance between an elementary schooler and a rat playing games (probably showing off or trying to one-up anyone also playing, though spoilers, he's not very physically-coordinated - even apart from that, though, he'll be playing to win; he likes winning, and also novelty items!) and lookin' for food to grab 'n sample!
• He's going to attend the ceremony with definite interest re: whatever magic-that-apparently-exists-in-this-world is in play at it... but once again, try to skip out on doing any actual work. If anyone happens to be able to engage him in conversation he finds interesting enough that giving them even just the minimum of a hand would be worth keeping it going, well... it may have been some years now, but he's not a stranger to farm chores.
• He'll be stickin' around in the Court for as long as he can - namely, likely, until the "your actions reflect on the Court as a whole" comes around to bite him or even just try his patience, or when mandatory training for residence does the same, especially considering it looks like he is nnnnot going to get along with Allairavar!
If you'd like our two to run into each other or you have something else to pitch/would like to give anything specific a try, hit me up here or at

Mordred | Fate/Apocrypha
So in non-NPC things, she'll be hitting up the food booths, but I also want to either have her roped into setup or helping with the farming. Also checking out the light show because she hasn't really seen anything like that. Not a ton of huge plans, but I'll see about getting a top level up since I didn't do one for last month's event.
I think that's about it for my plans, but feel free to say something here or at

that weird vampire guy
Also if anyone drags him to go play carnival games I will be very delighted.
Otherwise he's probably going to be keeping to the back while Fayura does her thing with the water because getting hungry during a ceremony like that is rude.

Zita Harrington. | Original.
For the FESTIVITIES themselves - She'll be mostly sticking to the walls because while she's from a carnival, it doesn't mean she automatically likes all the noise and mayhem that's going down. She will find herself drifting towards certain booths - food and games and the like - since they're familiar to her. If you need your character to actually win one of these games, Zita is your girl to get tips from because she's seen them all.
As for FARMING… She will try.... Physical work is something she knows she's poor in and she knows, already, that she's more likely to mess something crucial as planting fields meant to help with the food supply of the city. She's very nervous as a result. She’ll try to offset this by offering healing services to those farming. She will be willingly trying to help select individuals, depending on her CR with them, but you're more likely to catch her nervously touching seeds and tools with uncertainty.

Daylight vis Lornlit. | Original.
He’s also going to be all over the FESTIVAL! You're very likely going to catch him playing games and trying to win prizes for the kids and himself there. He ended up bonding with a class worth of kids and they are going to have fun together. He'll also be offering to do sketches for people in the name of fun, too, so if you're interested in that that'll be part of his toplevel!
He also may or may not end up wrecking the carousel when he tries to ride on it....... Listen he wants to have fun......Last but not least — Daylight is actually really good at gardening! It's a hobby of his and he's very good at it and takes lots of pride in this skill/hobby of his. As a result he'll be able to get into farming easily and confidently, knowing what to do like how to till the soil and how to plant and how to keep animals from getting to the seeds. So if you need someone to help you out in the FARMING angle, he’s your guy!

Also he has a lot of SQUINT about that blood ritual, but he can't talk to Fay about it right now, so he's holding that in reserve for later.

Caleb Widogast | Critical Role
Party Planning: Caleb is exactly the type of person who would get begrudgingly roped into do this sort of thing but also kind of try and figure out if he can foist the work onto someone else. When push comes to shove, though, he'll look for someone's lead to follow and do the work.
Festival: He would definitely not go on his own (so many unfamiliar people) but I imagine once he meets up with Mollymauk he'll be dragged there. He'll be interested in all the technological stuff and generally poking his nose around and seeing what he can learn.
Farming: He's going to be intensely interested in the blood ritual/magic, especially since he's had his own...recent run in with a blood ritual. Otherwise, farming isn't actually all that foreign to him, having grown up in a small rural town. It won't feel great, since it reminds him of his childhood, but he'll put his head down and work diligently. He'll be experimenting with Craft here especially and seeing what it can do for him that his normal spells might not.

party planning → clarke have no clue what she is doing but she will definitely be roped into this somehow helpin with decorations! she is a bit of an artist so she might draw or create some or her own. also there might also be some failed attempts at baking just because.
festival → she will pretty much be all over this with trying to check out the games, food and various booths because she has never been to one in her life.
farming → she is going to find the ritual to be very strange and be a bit wary but she will try her hand at planting things like everyone else. it isn't something she is good at or has much experience with but she will try!!
i am open to any other plotting so feel free to hit me up here or @
Ren Suzugamori | Cardfight!! Vanguard
-Party Planning: Ren is not a fan of physical labour At All so he's going to go help some people make bread, because cooking is fun and he's actually pretty good at it despite his affinity for just pretending to throw a bunch of random stuff in a pot.
-Festival: Ren loves this sort of thing so he will be Here For This, and absolutely willing to poke any nervous people who aren't so familiar with rides and things into joining him on them. He loves carousels. He may also play some games if any catch his eye, because games are kind of his thing.
-Planting: Again, physical labour isn't really his thing...but organising people definitely is, so if you need someone to point you where to go next or have the right stuff prepared, he's your guy.
Feel free to hit me up here or at

Calvin Lee | Original Character
- Calvin is not a party planner by nature. But he's pretty determined to help the Queen out right now in whatever small way he can, so he'll awkwardly wander around here and and do what people tell him.
- The festival will probably be the thing that Calvin enjoys most here. He'll play some games, eat some foods, try to relax and have fun despite the fact that he's unexpectedly found himself in another world. He also may or may not get drunk if given the option.
- The ritual is going to be pretty weird to him as a very non-religious guy. He'll hold off on saying anything, but anyone near him during it will be able to notice his discomfort with it.
- He's also not much of a farmer, so while he'll give planting an attempt, he's gonna have no idea what he's doing here either, and probably just make a small mess of things. Maybe eventually he'll just start playing fetch for anything the real farmers ask him to get them.
Tyrion Lannister | Game of Thrones
Festival: Let's be real, he's mostly here for food and wine. And also the carousel and the light show, because those are fascinating and advanced beyond anything he has any experience with.
Planting: Physical labour isn't really Tyrion's strong suit, and he knows very little about the practical aspects of farming, but he excels at organization, and can help keep track of what's been done and what needs to be done and who's where.
